🇬🇧 Hers meaning: English Vocabulary Flash Card

We use “hers” to show that something belongs to a girl, woman, or female animal, without saying the thing again. Instead of saying, “That backpack is her backpack,” we just say, “That backpack is hers.” It replaces the noun and shows ownership, like his, mine, or yours, but for a female person or animal.
