🇬🇧 Trumpet meaning: English Vocabulary Flash Card

noun
A trumpet is a shiny brass musical instrument that you hold in your hands and blow into to make music. It has a small cup-shaped mouthpiece where you put your lips and blow, and long metal tubing that is bent into a rounded rectangular shape. On top are buttons called valves that you press with your fingers to change the notes. The sound comes out of the wide end like a powerful, bright, and sometimes very loud voice. Trumpets are used in marching bands, orchestras, jazz bands, and even to play exciting fanfares for important events.
