📖 The Day of All Weathers

One Saturday morning, Daniel opened his curtains and looked at the sky. At first, the sun was shining, and the garden looked bright and cheerful. It felt warm, and Daniel thought it would be a perfect sunny day.

He put on his shoes and went outside. But after a short walk, a big grey cloud came across the sky. Suddenly, rain began to fall. Daniel didn’t have an umbrella, so he got wet very quickly. “Oh no! It was so dry before,” he said with a laugh.

The wind started to blow strongly, making the trees shake. It was very windy, and Daniel had to hold onto his hat. The cool breeze felt nice after the hot sun, but it also made the rain splash more. Soon the street was shiny and wet.

After a while, the sky grew darker. A storm rolled in. There was loud thunder and bright lightning. Daniel ran home as fast as he could. “This is too much weather for one day!” he cried. His clothes felt cold and heavy from the rain.

But the day wasn’t finished. Just as the storm passed, white flakes began to fall. It started to snow! The houses, the road, and the trees turned white. Daniel touched the snow with his hands—it was soft but very cold. He even saw some ice forming on the puddles from the earlier rain.

Later, when the clouds moved away again, the sun came back out. The snow sparkled under the sunny sky. It was strange to see the garden half white with ice and half green with grass. The air was not too hot, not too cold, just a little cool.

By the evening, the wind had slowed down, the ground began to get dry again, and Daniel’s coat finally felt warm instead of wet. He sat by his window, watching the last little cloud float away.

He thought about the day: first sun, then rain, then a storm, then snow, and finally a quiet sunny evening. “Today I saw all the weather in one day,” he said. “Hot, cold, warm, and cool—all before dinner!”

Daniel smiled and poured himself some tea. The world outside was calm at last. No storm, no wind, just a peaceful night after a very busy day of weather.
