📖 A Busy Saturday

On Saturday morning, Oliver woke up early. He did not sleep very long, but he was too excited to stay in bed. He wanted to do many things that day.

First, he went to the kitchen to eat breakfast and drink a glass of orange juice. His sister Anna said, “You always eat so quickly! Slow down and drink some water too.” Oliver laughed and said, “I want to go outside and play football with my friends. That’s why I’m fast!”

After breakfast, he ran upstairs to look for his football boots. “Where are they?” he shouted. Anna came to his room and helped him look under the bed. “Here they are,” she said. “You should take better care of your things.”

Soon, Oliver and Anna went to the park. Oliver loved to run around the field while Anna liked to listen to music under a big tree. Sometimes she would read a book too, but that morning she wanted to just listen to her favourite songs.

Oliver’s friends came to the park, and they all began to play football. They had fun kicking the ball, and they laughed a lot. “You speak too much, just play!” one boy shouted when another kept talking. Everyone smiled, and the game went on.

After a while, they got tired. “I really want to rest,” Oliver said. So they all sat down in the grass. Some boys began to write their names in the dirt with sticks, while Anna continued to read quietly.

Later in the afternoon, the family went back home. Their parents were waiting with lunch. “Come and eat,” their mother said. They all sat at the table, happy and hungry. Oliver drank water, Anna drank tea, and their father spoke about his day at work.

After lunch, Oliver wanted to do some homework. He sat at the desk to write a short story for school. Anna helped him read it aloud to check for mistakes. “This is good,” she said. “But you should also listen to the teacher’s advice in class.” Oliver nodded.

By evening, the children were tired. “Let’s go for a short walk,” their father suggested. They all came to the park again, but this time they did not run or play. They only wanted to look at the sunset. It was beautiful.

When night arrived, Oliver said, “I am happy. We could be together, have fun, and do many things today.” Anna agreed. Soon after, they both went to their rooms, ready to sleep peacefully until the next busy day.
