📖 The Oliver’s Counting Adventure
Oliver was a boy who loved numbers. One morning, he woke up and saw that his clock showed seven o’clock. He stretched his arms and said, “Today I will go on a counting adventure. I will use every number from zero to fifteen.”
He started by opening his window. “One bright sun,” he said with a smile. Then he looked down at the garden. “Two birds are singing,” he counted. A moment later, he saw “three cats chasing each other.”
When he went outside, he noticed “four colourful flowers in a row” and “five butterflies flying above them.” He walked to the park and spotted “six ducks swimming in the pond.” Beside them, “seven children were playing with a ball.”
Oliver kept walking and found “eight balloons tied to a bench.” He bought one and continued. Soon, he saw “nine dogs running together,” which made him laugh. Not long after, he joined “ten people dancing in the square.”
By midday, Oliver was hungry. At the bakery, he counted “eleven fresh loaves of bread” on the shelf. He bought one and ate happily. Then he met a girl carrying “twelve apples in a basket.” She gave him one, and they became friends.
Together, they saw “thirteen birds flying across the sky,” “fourteen steps leading to the library,” and finally “fifteen books waiting on a table.” Oliver said, “This is the end of my adventure. I have counted everything from zero to fifteen.”
The girl asked, “But what about zero? Where did you see it?”
Oliver thought for a moment. Then he smiled. “When I started, my stomach was zero full. Now, after the bread and the apple, it is not!”
They both laughed. At the end of the day, Oliver counted all the things again in his notebook: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. He wrote each number twice, just to make sure he never forgot.
And so, Oliver’s day of numbers came to a happy end, showing him that counting was not only useful but also a lot of fun.
