📖 The Lost Suitcase Adventure

It was a cold morning when Daniel arrived at the airport with his big backpack and small suitcase. He was ready for his first trip abroad, and his heart was full of excitement. The plane was leaving for Norway, a country he had always wanted to visit.

When the plane landed, Daniel felt the cold air touch his face as soon as he stepped outside. “So this is the north!” he said with a smile. But his smile disappeared when he realised his suitcase was missing. Somewhere between London and Oslo, it had been lost.

The airport staff were very kind and tried to help him. “Don’t worry,” one woman said. “We’ll try to catch it before it goes to another airport.” Daniel waited, but after an hour, the suitcase still hadn’t been found.

He decided to go into the city with just his backpack. Inside, he had a few clothes, his camera, and a small picture of his family. Looking at that picture made him feel less lost and a little more brave.

The city was beautiful. He walked past old streets full of lights, where people were doing shopping for Christmas. Daniel wanted to buy a warm jacket, but everything seemed very expensive. The shops were full of luxury scarves, hats, and watches.

Instead, he saw a small charity shop on the corner. Inside, the staff were friendly, and the prices were much lower. He bought a second-hand coat and gloves. “They’re not luxury,” he laughed, “but they’re perfect.” The woman at the counter smiled and said, “Thank you for supporting our charity.”

Outside the shop, Daniel saw a little bird sitting on the snowy street. It looked like it wanted to escape from the cold, just like he did. He tried to catch it gently, but it flew away. Still, that tiny bird made him feel peaceful somehow.

That evening, Daniel went to the park and took a picture of the frozen lake. The excitement of travel had turned into something quieter and calmer. Even though he had started the day with worry, he now felt happy that he could help others by shopping at the charity shop and enjoy small things like a bird in the snow.

Later, when he returned to his hotel, the receptionist said, “Good news! Your suitcase has been found.” Daniel laughed. His backpack, the staff, the charity shop, and that bird had all been part of a story he would never forget.

Sometimes getting lost is the best way to find something new.
