On a bright summer morning, Emma and her brother Jack went to the beach with their parents. The sun was shining high in the sky, and the sea looked wide and blue. The children could already hear the waves crashing softly as they ran across the warm sand.
They put down a big towel near the water. Emma wore a hat to keep cool, and Jack carried a bucket to collect a special shell. “Let’s play first,” said Jack, and they both laughed as they built a tall castle in the sand. The waves came close, but not close enough to wash it away.
After a while, it was too hot on the sand, so Emma shouted, “Time to swim!” They ran into the water, splashing each other and diving under the little waves. The sea felt cool and fresh, and they could see tiny fish swimming nearby. Jack tried to chase one, but of course the fish were too quick.
Their parents joined them later. Father wanted to relax on the towel with a book, but Mother said, “Come into the water with us!” Soon the whole family was laughing, jumping over the waves, and enjoying the bright blue sky.
Later, a small boat sailed close to the beach. Jack waved at the people on the boat, and they waved back happily. Emma found a shiny shell near the water and decided to keep it as a memory of their day.
When they felt tired, they lay down on the big towel to relax. The sun was still warm, but Emma’s hat kept her safe from the hot rays. They listened to the sound of the waves and watched the sea sparkle.
“Today was perfect,” said Emma. “We had the sun, the sand, the sea, and even the fish.”
Jack smiled. “And tomorrow, we can come back and play again.”
The family packed their things, leaving only footprints in the sand, while the gentle waves washed the beach clean once more.
