One rainy afternoon, a boy named Daniel and a girl named Lucy were playing a board game in an old house at the edge of the village. The house had once belonged to Lucy’s grandfather, and inside it were many strange objects. On a shelf, Daniel noticed a dusty mirror. At first, it looked ordinary, but then he saw something hidden in its glass: a glowing map.
The map showed a strange world full of danger, with dark forests, tall mountains, and moving shadows. Suddenly, the mirror shone brightly, pulling both the boy and the girl inside. They landed on a stone platform, surrounded by strange noises.
“Where are we?” whispered Lucy.
“I think we’re inside the game,” Daniel answered. He pointed at the map, which now floated in the air. It showed their path forward—and the places where they would meet monsters.
Not long after, a giant snake slithered towards them. Its eyes glowed, and it hissed loudly. The boy grabbed a stick and tried to fight, while the girl threw a broken cup she found on the ground. Together, they managed to defeat the monster, but the map warned them that worse was coming.
They walked carefully, using the map as a guide. Soon, they reached another stone platform, where a shadowy creature with wings appeared. It was part-bird, part-bat, and it began to fly around them, swooping low to attack. The boy and girl stood close together, trying not to show their fear. Daniel swung at it with his stick, and Lucy shouted, “We must fight it together!” After a long struggle, they managed to defeat the winged creature.
Each time they won, the map glowed and showed a new path. But the further they went, the greater the danger became. On the third platform, a huge monster rose from the ground. It had the head of a lion, the tail of a snake, and claws sharper than knives.
“This is the final challenge,” said Lucy. She held up the broken cup, which now shone with a strange light. “Maybe this is not just a cup—it’s a key.”
The monster roared and leapt at them. The boy tried to fight, but his stick broke. The girl held up the glowing cup, and the mirror inside the monster’s chest cracked open. With one final strike, they both managed to defeat the beast.
The world shook, and suddenly they were back in the old house, sitting on the floor in front of the dusty mirror. The map had vanished, the cup was gone, and the room was quiet.
The boy and the girl looked at each other.
“Was it real?” Daniel asked.
Lucy smiled. “I don’t know. But we’ll never play an ordinary game the same way again.”
