It all began on a Monday morning when Daniel’s alarm clock rang far too early. He lay in bed for a minute, staring at the ceiling, wishing he could have just one more hour of sleep. But this was no ordinary week — something exciting was planned for every single day.
By Monday afternoon, he had already finished his homework and met his friends in the park. They played football until the evening, counting every second until the ice cream van arrived. That night, Daniel went to bed tired but happy, ready for the next day.
On Tuesday morning, his grandmother visited. She baked fresh bread, and they spent a lovely afternoon together. At exactly noon, Daniel helped her set the table for lunch. That evening, they played card games until almost midnight.
Wednesday was even better. In the morning, his dad took him fishing. For the first hour, nothing happened, but then, in just a second, Daniel felt a tug on the line. By afternoon, they had caught three fish. That night, they cooked them for dinner.
On Thursday morning, Daniel woke to the smell of pancakes. He ate quickly because, by noon, he and his mum were on a train to the city. The afternoon was spent in museums, and the evening ended with a ride on a giant Ferris wheel. Looking down at the city lights that night, he thought it might be the best day so far.
But then came Friday. School in the morning was slow — each minute felt like an hour. Still, the afternoon was worth the wait because his football team won their match. That night, the whole team went out for pizza, and they stayed out until just before midnight.
Saturday was special from the first second. Daniel’s cousins came over in the morning, and by noon, the garden was full of games, laughter, and the smell of a barbecue. The afternoon was for playing hide-and-seek, and in the evening, they roasted marshmallows over a fire. That night, everyone camped in tents in the garden, telling stories until well past midnight.
Finally, Sunday arrived. It was quieter. In the morning, Daniel read a book. At noon, his family had a big lunch together. The afternoon was spent tidying up after such a busy week. As the evening sun set, Daniel thought about how quickly the hours, minutes, and seconds had passed.
That night, just before midnight, he smiled to himself. It had been a perfect week, full of small adventures and happy moments. And although he was tired, he was already wondering what next Monday morning might bring.
