📖 The Jet to My Dream Vacation
Emma had been planning her dream vacation for months. She checked her schedule again and again, making sure every reservation was correct. Her flight with Sunrise Airline was at 10 a.m., and she didn’t want to miss it.
At the airport, she held her ID tightly and joined the waiting crowd near the check-in board. The big screen showed flights from all over the world—London, Paris, Tokyo. When she finally saw her flight number appear, her heart skipped a beat.
After checking in, she went through the security area. Her bag went through the x-ray machine while she walked through the metal detector. Everything was fine. She smiled, relieved, and followed the signs to immigration. The officer looked at her ID, stamped her passport, and said, “Enjoy your trip!”
With time to spare before boarding, Emma wandered through the duty-free shops. She bought a small bottle of perfume and a box of chocolates. She loved the duty-free area—it always felt like the start of something special.
Soon, the announcement came over the speakers: “Flight 127 to Santorini is now ready to board.” Emma joined the line, her heart racing. She showed her boarding pass and walked down the long aisle of the airplane. She found her seat by the window and settled in, tucking her bag under the chair.
Next to her sat an older man who smiled kindly. “First vacation in a while?” he asked.
“Yes,” Emma said. “I’ve been waiting for this trip for years!”
He chuckled. “I still get excited every time I fly. I love the feeling when the jet starts to move.”
As they talked, the flight attendants checked that everyone was seated. The pilot’s voice came through the speakers: “We’ll be ready to take off shortly. Please fasten your seatbelts.”
Emma looked out of the window as the airplane began to roll down the runway. The engines of the jet grew louder and louder, and then—with a rush—they lifted into the sky.
She gasped softly. The world below became smaller, the clouds closer. The feeling of take off was like freedom.
After a while, she walked down the aisle to stretch her legs and peeked at the screen showing their flight path. They were halfway over the sea already. The staff brought snacks and drinks, and Emma couldn’t stop smiling.
When they finally landed, she went through immigration again, showing her passport and ID to the officer. Outside, the sun was bright, and the warm air smelled of salt and flowers.
Her schedule was full of beach days, sunsets, and exploring—everything she’d dreamed of. As she stepped out of the terminal, she whispered to herself, “This is it. My vacation has truly begun.”
And with that, Emma smiled, ready to enjoy every moment her careful plans had brought to life.
